WHY NICOLE
Named one of Austin’s top connectors
“In a world filled with creators who all wear private school uniforms dressed up as perfectly flowing AI sentences, this newsletter was incredibly refreshing! If you asked me if I would ever be hooked on a piece about lawns I would have said no, but I couldn’t stop reading.”
REAL OUTINGS
On May 12, 2026, Nicole and ATX Art Club brought beginners to Mayfield Park for charcoal nature drawing. Sketchbook and charcoal were available if needed; live oaks, peafowl, and loud toads supplied the scene.
Another Sunday began at 8 a.m. with about a dozen people plucking Yaupon leaves on a foraging hike led by Ian McCluskey of December Yaupon. The outings are invitations to look closer.

THE PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
One individual membership: an Austin adventure every month, early access to events, and occasional members-only outings (like a private tour of the Austin Bat Refuge). $299/year or $50/month. Nicole plans the outing, brings the group together, and shares the event details. It doesn’t automatically cover guests or children.
Maybe. This will be event-specific, and it will be very clear.
If you’ve ever sat on a patio before, you’ll be all good here. The qualification is at least a kernel of curiosity. Be warned: it’s a gateway drug to the Audubon Society.
Yep, and it’s also free for everyone, including the archives for when you really want to know about armadillos’ reproductive habits.
